COURSE DESCRIPTION

Health care decisions should be planned, not improvised. Part 1 covers foundational documents and conversations that align medical wishes, agents, and access. Build plans that work at 2 a.m. in the ER, not just in the conference room.

  • Draft health care powers of attorney and living wills that are usable.

  • Execute HIPAA releases that providers accept.

  • Address capacity standards and choice of agent issues.

  • Coordinate emergency directives with existing estate documents.
